Mixed media canvas.....

I have been  working on this canvas for the past few weeks, I'm not sure if it's done yet or not.  

I thought I would put it up anyways....

I have been playing around with some new techniques lately, this one I used gelatos, and my homemade sprays, stamping and modelling paste...I used a different color palette then I am usually drawn to.

This next one I used my sprays and modelling paste, glass beads and stamping....

Kaisercraft Storage Drawers

I was out and about today and popped into my local scrapbook store, Clipper Street, in Langley,
it is one of my favourite stores !!!

I picked up this cute Kaisercraft 9 drawer chest, I thought I would take some pics as I go....

It does require some assembly, I started painting the edges and got them all done and then realized that I hadn't painted enough along the edge.  I will have to paint it again, I'm trying to decide what paper line I want to use.

I had a lot of fun creating this canvas.  I was inspired by a video that Gabrielle Pollacco did a tutorial of, I have since made three, I kept one and gave the other two away as gifts.

I used my own sprays that I made up and various papers and stamps.  I recently bought Julie Nutting's book, Collage Couture.  I am eager to get started drawing these figures on my own.

I haven't been back here in a long while.  I have been busy with work, holidays, yada, yada, yada. I'm hoping to blog once a week.  I have been doing some art though, mostly mixed media, I really do love mixed media.  I will post some of my projects that I have been working on.

This is the canvas that I did when I took Anna Dobrowska's class in the summer.  I really like the way it turned out.  I sure learned a ton taking her class, what a awesome lady she is!
